The Siyazakhela honored its learners on Thursday for completing its 12 module Entrepreneurship programme at the New Creation Ministry Church in Diepsloot. Ext.6.

The learners and coaches were issued with certificates and some goodies from Unilever for being the top learners and coaches of the 2018 Siyazakhela program that started last year November, 2017.

Dr. Tashmia Ismael encouraged the graduates to implement the knowledge they have received through Siyazakhela program into growing their businesses and create jobs for youths in South Africa.

“What you do with your knowledge now is up to you, spread it, share it and practice it.”

“We want you guys to be successful and if you guys are successful you can give jobs to the youth.”

Tashmia told the graduates that South Africa dependes on them to make people’s lives better and also touched upon the impact the forth industrial revolution has into the lives of many in the country.

She told them that Forth Industrial is not really about taking jobs away from people but about changing and making lives better.

“There are millions of youth, who don’t have employment, you see them all over Diepsloot, right, Ok?”

The more successful your businesses are, the more people you employ and the more people have quality of life.”

“Forth Industrial here in this room, with you guys, forth industrial is building not taking jobs.”

“You are showing that the forth industrial revolution can actually change lives for the better and not taking jobs away.”

Rorisang Chochi the Project Coordinator for the Siyazakhela thanked all the coaches for the wonderful work and working hard against all odds up to the end.

“Congratulations first of all, i'm very proud of them, they have went against all odds and got to the end.”

One of the learners Mrs Chipo Katshawa could not contain herself after been chosen the top learner in the program and said was happy to rise above the rest.

She also encouraged other business people in her community to join the project in numbers to make their businesses better.

“I’m so excited, I don’t know what to say and I don’t know what to say in fact, but I’m so excited cause I didn’t know that what I was doing is going to gain me something.”

“Whenever you see the word Siyazakhela just ask somebody, if ever somebody is close to you who knows about Siyazakhela to tell you what is all about, it’s a very good program whatever it is teaching you gain something.”

Lieketseng Mokoena, a coach for Siyazakhela was taken by surprise, when she was named the best top coach for the project and said she didn’t see that coming but believes her hard work spoke volume at the end of the day.

“Actually I’m shocked that's the first feeling of shock and right now I actually feel quite ecstatic and I feel that I do deserve it, I worked very hard throughout the pilot session.”

Mokoena also said spirituality and the drive to empower women lead her to being seen as the top coach of the program.

“Right now moving forward I’m just gonna put more strength into my work and I see that what I was doing at least it has borne fruits.”

“I see most of my learners and the difference I have made in their lives, mine was not about the books or the academics, it was even more spiritual and overall development of the women.”

‘I’m endorsing women more than anything because my groups are just women.”

Thabo Mashele, the CLO for Siyazakhela congratulated Lieketseng Mokoena for having walked away with the best price of the top coach in 2018 for Siyazakhela project.

“Actually Keke is a capable leader when it comes to actually coaching and she has the capacity to lead,.”

“Why should we look at her mistakes instead of acknowledging the solution she came up with and brought back the group together.”

Dr. Tashmia promised the graduates that even though it might be the end for them, they will always be acknowledged for their dedicated work and would be invited in networking sessions the program will host this year.  The program is scheduled to appear in the Mzanzi Insider soon this year, she said.
