Hip-hop artists from around Diepsloot on Wednesday, bitterly reacted to the death of a hip-hop super star Jabulani Tsambo popularly known as HHP, who died from depression on Tuesday.

Artists like Lukhanyo Lukay Solo, Gontse Cool Gee and Spilion Grootman said on social media,  the artist was killed by the ignorance of people who were supposed to care for him.

“HHP was killed by the ignorance of people who he thought will never forsake him.”

“We are so ignorant and absorbed into our own happiness, that we ignore any and everything the depressed go through.” Said Spilion Grootman.

Gontse Cool Gee said South African artists are suffering from depression and yet people are quite about it.

“Our artists are suffering from depression, Hiphop Pansula almost committed suicide three times, but we were all quiet, where is unity?

Lukhanyo Lukay Solo warned that depression is not a joke and that people should start loving themselves more to avoid being hit by this problem.

“RIP HHP, depression ain’t no joke, we don’t handle that thing the same way, but the best advise is to love yourself and show yourself a lot of love even when you got someone.” Lukay said.
