The two-time Olympic Champion Caster Semenya is fazed by the IAAF and perceives its gender regulations as discriminatory and irrational.

According to the EWN reports on Monday, Semenya said will challenge the IAAF's gender rules and file a legal case to challenge its eligibility for Female Classification.

“The Regulations are discriminatory, irrational, unjustifiable and in violation of IAAF Constitution, the Olympic Charter, laws of Monaco (where IAAF is based).”

“Laws of jurisdictions in which international competitions are held and of universally recognised human rights.”

“I will challenge the IAAF's gender rules and file a legal case challenging the “Eligibility Regulations for Female Classification”. She said.

Semenya said she is fed up with people always questioning the state of her gender and said it was unfair.

“I just want to run naturally the way I was born. It is not fair that I am told I must change.”

The change of rule on testosterone levels imposed by the IAAF at the Court of Arbitration for Sport compel women who compete in athletics at the international level to submit to unnecessarily medical interventions to lower their natural testosterone levels, she said.

“The IAAF Regulations compel women who compete in athletics at the international level to submit to medically unnecessary interventions to lower their natural testosterone levels.”

“I will file the legal challenge to ensure, safeguard and protect the rights of all women.”
