RAND CHEF is a registered black owned kitchenette that prides itself with scrumptious traditional foods from all round the African soils.

The company was started in 2013, by a qualified and proficient chef Mr. P. Majola, who acquired his cooking skills from IQ academy, where he specialised in Tourism and Hospitality management.

The kitchenette was conceived through his experience as chef for five years, working for the Indaba Hotel.

About the budding business Majola said, the company comprises ace chefs of common goals and interest.

“Rand chef is a panel of chefs with one goal, one drive, one desire to keep the structure of the hospitality business intact.”

The company had served in high profiled events such as the ABSA PSL awards and Jazz festivals around Gauteng.

One of its primary missions, is to groom its own chefs and open a cooking school in the community of Diepsloot.

“We are considering opening up a chef school to grow chefs, so as to maintain the company’s name and grow the love of cooking that many people have but cannot afford to take further.”

Not only will this idea benefit the company, but it will also assist the learning victuallers to open their own catering business as well, to help combat the ubiquity of unemployment by creating more jobs in the country.

“To start a cooking business, you must know how to cook and must also have experience as well.” Majola concluded.

Rand Chef works in places like Restaurants, B & B, Guest Houses, Big events and weddings around the province.

Mr. P. Majola also went to the International hotel school and South African Chef Association to hone his cooking mastery.
