Based on a romantic novel by Nicola Yoon published in 2015, Everything Everything is about an 18 year old lady named Madeline.

Madeline has never left the house for 17 years; let’s say she's foreign to the outside world, if you may put it like that.

It’s not like she can’t leave the house; the thing is, she's diagnosed with SCID, or...’Maybe not!’

SCID known as the (Severe Combined Immune Deficiency) is a primary immune deficiency disease caused by genetic defects that affect the functions of T and B cells.

Apparently if the victim comes in contact with germs or leaves the house will die, and thus the case of Madeline.

Her mother Pauline, a doctor, must ensure that she runs daily check-ups on her to monitor her situation; alternatively she’s found her a nurse named Carla, who looks after her while she is at work.

For this reason, Madeline cannot go to school, go shopping or visit friends, instead she spends most of her time reading books, writing reviews and interacting with people in her situation online, and that's how she most probably gets close to the world outside.

You ask if she has a friend. Yes she does have a friend, her name is Rosa, Carla’s daughter.

If Madeline would be given a slightest of chance to leave her house one day, guess what? She’d definitely go to the ocean.

Why the ocean thou?

M!!!

Why not the mall or visit grandmother in the slums and meet with cousins and uncles?

Despite the ocean covering 72 percent of the world and being just three miles from where she stays, Maddy would like to see a Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, apparently that is a Hawaiian state big fish of some sort. Funny isn’t it?

Madeline is in love with Olly, a new boy in the neighbourhood. Olly is this white boy with semi-long dark brown hair from New York, well built and most definitely into skating.

He too is in love, her first glimpse of him is through the window and that’s where everything begins. The window.

They both exchange hand greetings one day and smiles the other, in no time they text each other, and Madeline tells her real McCoy why she can’t leave the house.

‘Blow you; I admire the potency of her imagination.’

This feels like being in love with someone in a glass, you can’t touch, kiss or smell her perfume or even worse, you don’t even know the colour of her eyes.

Carla arranges the meeting for Madeline and finally the guy comes in, but under strict orders thou, ‘Stay far, far away from her and don't touch.'

Subsequently Maddy is drifted away by the memories of him, like a kite gliding in space all by itself.

Ok right! Just as when you think it’s all that, Madeline secretly sets up a meeting with Olly without the knowledge of Carla or mother.

This time no one is at home, but only themselves, the getting along is fine, until it so, so gets intimate.

‘I believe every rule is meant to be broken right!’

(Writer chuckles)

‘But that’s love and when it bites you, it sweeps you off your feet.’

Madeline and Olly finally touch and kiss, 'that’s her first time.' There is a part in the movie where she says ‘In two weeks her lips would have no memory of having kissed Olly, but her brain would still remember.’ That poetically speaking blew me away.

Madeline’s mother accidentally finds out that Olly was in the house, this is after Madeline’s reaction to Olly’s abusive father, who jabbed him down with one punch that she had to risk her life.

Olly raps Maddy’s knuckles and tells her to go inside, one minute of her ephemeral exposure to the sun, is well enough to see her being subsequently denied access to phone and internet.

That means she can't chat with Olly anymore.

Carla the nurse gets fired, and a new nurse comes in, and she comes in with stringent etiquette, you may address her as Nurse Janet or Mrs Pritchert whichever you prefer.

Madeline decidedly rigs two plane tickets to Hawaii, one for Olly and one for herself.

‘This is where it interestingly gets crazy.’ Both Maddy and Olly leave for Hawaii, without her mother’s consent.

Oops! Did she leave the house?

What if she dies, and what will Olly or mother do about that?

If you really want to know what happens next, you definitely must watch this movie, ‘I don’t wanna spill the beans and spoil the party, but all I can tell you is that Madeline has finally left the house, after 17 years of what I’d like to term a’ house arrest of some sort’ and has seen the ocean.

Boy the movie is top notch, a one chilled up movie with distinctive sequels, let’s call it a boomerang, one of those movies you’d watch alone, the next day with friends and the next with ‘eh!!’ you know what I mean.

Soundtracks like Let’s go by Khalid, Howling by RyX, Stay and many more, will definitely make you enjoy the movie even much more.

If you are interested in romance, I recommend Everything Everything, AmaTen Ten is my ratings; this is surely a sure-cadelik movie to watch.

After watching it you will undoubtedly agree with me, that love can set you on the path to your truth.

Man if I love it, you most probably will enjoy it.
